50. Samsung HW-Q930D soundbar

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (1)

TVs keep getting thinner, making them far less obtrusive in your living room. The flipside is that slimmed-down sets often suffer from lacklustre sound. This soundbar solves the problem, with crisp clarity and punchy rear speakers for true surround sound.

Learn about how easy this soundbar is to use and install in ourSamsung HW-Q930D review.

49. TCL 4022S simple phone

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (2)

Simple mobiles are perfect for people who don’t need a fully fledged PC in their pocket but still want the reassurance of a solid, dependable phone. The 4022S’s brilliant battery lasts over two weeks on standby, it’s easy to use, and there’s a programmable emergency call button on the back.

Find out what this simple mobile phone is like to use in ourTCL 4022S review.

48. Hisense RB327N4WWE fridge freezer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (3)

Fridge-freezers are becoming an attractive staging ground for eccentric ‘innovation’ in the heart of your kitchen. Some have TVs built into them, some have an interior camera so you can check your supplies while out and about, and some even let you access social media.

But no matter what fresh idea comes next, it’s hard to beat the chef d’oeuvre that was just combining the fridge with the freezer in the first place. It’s one of history’s most successful collaborations, and this Hisense model is a particularly successful example. It chills and freezes quickly, keeps temperatures stable, and has enough space for up to 10 bags of groceries.

Combined with quiet, frost-free operation and Hisense’s high reliability and customer satisfaction scores, it nails what most people really want from a fridge-freezer – no-nonsense performance that won’t let you down.

Read more about its storage and performance in ourHisense RB327N4WWE review.

47. Hamilton Beach HB268SGBG Pro Care steam generator

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (4)

This steam generator iron makes light work of even vast piles of ironing. It’s about three times cheaper than the average steam generator, too. It’s resistant to limescale but, just to be on the safe side, it even has a useful self-clean function.

Learn how this iron performs in ourHamilton Beach HB268SGBG Pro Care review.

46. Neff B54CR71N0B built-in oven

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (5)

Premium ovens can sometimes feel like a bit of a rip-off, with features that are nice to have but far from vital, such as smart connectivity and touchscreens. This one backs up its price with those fancy features as well as consistent, accurate heating and speedy preheating times.

See more on how its oven and grill performs in ourNeff B54CR71N0B review.

45. Amazon eero Max 7 wi-fi router

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (6)

Most of us put a good amount of research into choosing our internet provider. We look for the fastest speeds, study the package costs and price rises, and see whether any goodies are thrown in, like free Netflix. But, being honest, do we apply that same level of scrutiny to our choice of router? After all that research, you get connected – and that’s that. Your internet becomes this immovable force. But a high-quality router can do just as much to maximise speed and coverage – and this is one of the best we’ve tested this year.

Find out how this router improves internet speeds and coverage in ourAmazon eero Max 7 review.

44. Dimplex EvoRad EVO2BTA Oil Free Radiator

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (7)

High energy bills mean many of us are hesitant to turn on the central heating if we can avoid it. That’s where an electric heater can be a real advantage. While they aren’t the most energy-efficient option for long-term heating, they excel at quickly warming up small, targeted areas. Instead of heating the whole house, you can focus warmth exactly where you need it – whether it’s a chilly bedroom, a draughty living room, or just the spot where you’re working. And unlike central heating, you can move it between rooms as needed, giving you flexibility and control.

This model heats up quickly and radiates warmth evenly, keeping the cold at bay without needing to crank up the thermostat too much. Because it’s a radiator-type heater, it continues to slowly release heat even after it’s switched off, saving energy while still keeping things cosy.

Learn how much it costs to run in our Dimplex EvoRad EVO2BTA review.

43. Ninja Woodfire Pro XL Electric BBQ

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (8)

The smaller version of the Ninja Woodfire made last year’s top 50, where we spoke about the BBQ as a perfect encapsulation of British stubbornness and spirit – pitting our desire for grilled meats against the nation’s capricious weather. How about if Ninja took that barbecue and made it large enough to cook a Sunday roast? Well, we had to test that out: smoked whole turkey and air-fried parsnips and potatoes, to be precise.

The Pro XL has a 30% larger cooking capacity, and the option to smoke, air fry, roast or grill. And because it’s electric, you don’t need to fight with wind, charcoal and firelighters to get it going. Purists might worry about the lack of classic smoky flavour, but Ninja’s Woodfire models solve this by giving you the option to flavour your food with real wood pellets burning in an integrated smoker box with a convection fan.

Find out how this barbecue compares to gas and charcoal modelsin ourNinja Woodfire Pro XL review.

42. Braun Silk-épil Series 9 Flex 9-481 epilator

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (9)

Conceptually, epilators sound a little like a torture device. But once you get past the initial sensation, you’ll find that although shaving can give you a fleeting victory over hair, an epilator can offer a deeper, longer-lasting conquest. The Braun Silk-épil Series 9 was the clear winner in our tests. It was by far the most comfortable to use, it’s great at removing hairs and its battery life is excellent. It also comes with a range of useful accessories.

See what our testers thought in ourBraun Silk-épil Series 9 review.

41. Celebrity Hollingwell Cloud Zero riser-recliner chair

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (10)

Riser recliner chairs occupy an interesting space in the world of furniture – somewhere between a cosy armchair and a mobility aid. They’re not just for lounging; they’re designed to help you stand up when the day’s been long, or if your knees aren’t what they used to be. With adjustable back rests and footrests, they offer a custom comfort that feels indulgent.

We found that the labelling of the Cloud Zero’s controls was a little cryptic at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s like having a chair that knows exactly how you want to sit.

Read more detail in theHollingwell Cloud Zero review, or buy it from The Recliner Store for £1,679.

40. Maxi-Cosi See Pro baby monitor

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (11)

Maxi-Cosi’s claim that its CryAssist tech can translate your baby’s cries left us sceptical, but the excellent sound and video quality did not. It’s easy to use and we had no problems getting a stable signal. One of the best we’ve tested this year.

See the pros and cons in theMaxi Cosi See Pro Baby Monitor review.

39. Stihl HSA 40 hedge trimmer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (12)

When you’re carrying what’s essentially a large oscillating blade, being sure it’s easy enough to handle should be high up your list of priorities. The HSA 40 is well balanced, relatively light and makes neat work of hedges and branches.

Learn how this trimmer performs in ourStihl HSA 40 review, or buy it from Stihl for £179 (batteries and charger included).

38. Neff N50 V58NBS1L0 venting hob

There’s something about a venting hob that calls up frames of Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Sleek shapes amid a great expanse of darkness; blinking red lights above esoteric symbols. They’re a relatively new type of product that still feels futuristic. Although there’s nothing mind-blowing going on here – after all, it’s just an induction hob with an extractor fan in the middle – the presentation is so undeniably slick that it seems it’s been plucked from a kitchen 30 years from now.

This Neff’s performance is as good as its looks, too. The hob is powerful at heating and excellent for simmering, and the extractor makes quick work of grease, odours and steam.

See how this venting hob handles kitchen tasks in our Neff N50 V58NBS1L0 review.

37. Volvo EX40 (2024-) electric car

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (14)

The EX40 is a striking addition to Volvo’s electric line-up, blending elegance with power. Positioned against rivals such as the BMW iX1 and Hyundai Kona Electric, the EX40 stands out with its clean lines and boxy, rugged shape.

Offering a smooth, quiet ride, this compact EV handles urban commutes and motorways with ease. The powerful 252hp version we tested makes overtaking a breeze. Inside, it’s all about comfort and simplicity, with high-quality materials and an intuitive infotainment system, although the screen can be a bit distracting. The seats are plush and supportive, perfect for long drives, while ample legroom makes it comfortable for taller passengers.

Despite its weight, the EX40 remains nimble and hushed on the road and has decent towing ability for an electric car (up to 1,500kg). The boot offers plenty of space for most everyday needs and has a hands-free electric tailgate.

Read our evaluation of this EV in theVolvo EX40 review.

36. Philips STH3000/26 clothes steamer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (15)

It’s starting to feel like ironing is running out of steam – a recent Which? survey found that 26% of people don’t iron because they simply don’t like doing it. This steamer isn’t quite as effective as a regular iron, but it’s light, easy to use and effectively gets creases out of polycotton and silk fabrics.

Find out how well this steamer handles wrinkles in our Philips STH3000/26 review.

35. CDA Nancy Dark Skies wine cooler

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (16)

We don’t all have labyrinthine underground spaces to store our wine collections, but you wouldn’t want the curved profile and retro lines of this CDA wine cooler buried down there anyway. Substance more than matches style, too.

See how this wine cooler measures up in ourCDA Nancy Dark Skies review.

34. Apple Watch Series 10 smartwatch

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (17)

What’s really helped the smartwatch market boom in the past decade is the emergence and accessibility of new technologies that help monitor health and fitness. When Apple’s Watch launched it was marketed as a fashion item – a luxury watch with a fraction of the functionality it has today. The iterations since have put more emphasis on measuring your health, culminating in the Series 10, which packs accurate fitness tracking and a brilliant screen into a neat package.

It integrates exquisitely with iPhones, though Android users will have to look elsewhere.

Learn how this smartwatch performs in ourApple Watch Series 10 review.

33. LG OLED65C44LA TV

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (18)

We’ve tested well over 1,000 TVs just in recent years here at Which?, and each test comprises more than 300 data points. We’ve seen TVs that will have your favourite shows dimly stuttering and juddering across the screen like an old flipbook, and others that deliver such crisp, fluid motion it feels like you’re peering through a window into another world. But one thing that has remained fairly consistent throughout is that LG certainly knows how to make a fantastic OLED television.

This is a worthy entry into this year’s Top 50 – its picture is brilliant – with vivid, lifelike colours, and contrast with staggering breadth. It sounds as good as it looks, too, with speakers capable of expertly handling everything from bassy, booming explosions to gentle orchestral scores and whispered dialogue.

Explore what this OLED TV offers in ourLG OLED65C44LA review.

32. Ikea Vappeby speaker

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (19)

Ikea’s Scandinavian roots really shine through with the Vappeby smart speaker – it’s got that minimalist, analogue look that feels both timeless and effortlessly cool, like something you’d find in a cosy Nordic cabin or a sleek urban loft. Really – just look at it. Doesn’t that look soothing, somehow? Wouldn’t that be nice on that shelf over there? Don’t you want to give that big volume dial a twirl? Most speakers look like anonymous monoliths, but this one has the vibe of a vintage piece of tech reimagined for today’s smart homes.

But enough about how it looks – the sound it produces is nothing short of excellent for its price range. Audio is clear, detailed, and dynamic, with plenty of power to fill a room despite its compact size. It might not shake the room with heavy bass, but it delivers a warm, balanced sound that audiophiles will appreciate. Plus, the high maximum volume and easy Bluetooth connectivity make it incredibly versatile, whether you’re pairing it with your phone or creating a stereo setup with multiple speakers.

Find out how this speaker performs in ourIkea Vappeby review,or buy it fromIkeafor £55.

31. Haden 195630 microwave

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (20)

We first tested microwaves in 1975, opening our inaugural article by wondering if they were ‘£250 or more spent on a gimmick’. Safe to say they’ve stuck around and prices have shrunk, so now you can pick up this Haden model at a great price and get thorough, consistent heating.

Check out how this microwave handles heating, defrosting and steaming in ourHaden 195630 review.

30. Morrisons Nutmeg Home Fluted Toaster

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (21)

Toast. Some would say it’s one of the basic food groups and a meal in itself. But the simple premise often proves tricky to achieve in practice – not all toasters make consistently good toast. Morrisons’ triumph here is in combining decent performance with a low price.

Find out how this toaster performs in ourMorrisons Nutmeg Home Fluted Toaster review, or buy it from Morrisons for £19.

29. Stihl RMA 243.3 lawn mower

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (22)

A lot of products have dubious claims about being better for the environment than alternatives, but one we’re certain of is that cordless mowers are more eco-friendly than petrol ones. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, a single petrol-powered mower produces as much air pollution as 11 newer cars per hour of use. A cordless model eschews that air pollution and produces much less noise, too, plus advances in lithium-ion battery tech are addressing concerns about run times and power compared with their fuel-guzzling counterparts.

This Stihl is meant for medium-sized lawns and it leaves a tidy finish on all the grass types we tried it on. It can collect clippings or you can use the supplied mulching plug to shred and spread them as a natural fertiliser. Unlike some other mowers this size, it didn’t struggle on its lowest cutting heights, and its wide deck helps it keep steady on uneven or sloping ground. The battery lasts for about 26 minutes, and its unique mono-handle design makes it incredibly easy to access the grass box and manoeuvre around edges and garden obstacles.

Find out how this lawn mower handles different grass types in ourStihl RMA 243.3 review.

28. DeLonghi Magnifica Plus ECAM320.60.B coffee machine

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (23)

Bean-to-cup coffee machines are generally pretty hefty – and this one is no exception – so once you’ve got one set up on your kitchen counter, it’s there to stay. They’re essentially a live-in barista, minus the tip jar and small talk. This DeLonghi grinds and brews with precision, giving you café-quality coffee without you ever leaving home. The ritual of hearing beans being ground in the morning has a way of making you feel like a coffee connoisseur, even if your go-to order is just a simple flat white. Yes, they take up space, and yes, they require a bit of cleaning, but for those who take coffee seriously, a bean-to -cup machine is a luxury that quickly becomes a necessity.

Learn how this coffee machine performs in our Delonghi Magnifica Plus ECAM320.60.B review.

27. Microsoft 13.8-inch Surface Laptop 7

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (24)

If you look at our laptop reviews, you’ll see the top spots dominated by Apple’s MacBook range. No doubt those are fine machines, but to get the most out of them you’ll need to buy into Apple’s ecosystem. Those who prefer a more flexible approach should consider the Surface 7. It’s essentially Microsoft’s answer to the MacBook – just as quick, with excellent battery life and a great screen.

See how this laptop balances power and portability in our Microsoft 13.8-inch Surface Laptop 7 review. Find it atCurrys or check stock below.

26. Karcher K5 Premium Smart Control pressure washer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (25)

Few garden tasks are as satisfying or have as immediate an effect as pressure washing. Using a high-powered jet of water to wash your initials onto dirty patio slabs makes the chore feel like etching your mark into the world. The Karcher K5 is powerful enough to eliminate even the most stubborn grime, and it comes with a three-in-one lance rather than different lances for different uses – so more time spent blasting dirt away. It’s quite heavy, but the 10-metre hose should give you a good reach without needing to shift it around very often.

Read about this pressure washer’s performance in ourKarcher K5 Premium review.

25. Silver Cross Tide pushchair

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (26)

With the Tide on your side, navigating parenthood feels like smooth sailing. Whether gliding through crowded streets or cruising bumpy paths, its smooth ride and all-terrain wheels keep it on an even keel. It includes a reversible seat that reclines nearly flat for newborns, a carrycot and car seat adaptors. Its adjustable telescopic handle, easy-to-use brake and self-catching clip also make folding and transport easier.

Learn more about this pushchair in ourSilver Cross Tide review.

24. AEG TR959M6BC tumble dryer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (27)

Heat pump dryers work by reusing warm air to dry your clothes, instead of letting it escape like normal dryers do. They pull in air, heat it, and then send it back through the drum over and over again. This AEG is highly energy efficient, drying evenly without creasing.

See how this tumble dryer handles laundry in our AEG TR959M6BC review.

23. Google Pixel 8a mobile phone

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (28)

The fanciest and priciest phones are subject to the law of diminishing returns, so mid-range options like the Pixel 8a are ever more attractive. You get a lot for your money: a brilliant screen, great cameras and a processor fast enough to run the latest apps with ease.

Read our analysis of this phone’s features in theGoogle Pixel 8a review.

22. Bosch KTR15NWECG fridge

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (29)

This neat little fridge is the joint second-highest scorer we’ve tested, designed to slot under your kitchen counters. Fridges this size tend to use an awful lot of energy in relation to their size because their compact design doesn’t allow for as much efficient airflow or insulation. This one keeps running costs low though, and it does a phenomenal job of maintaining a steady temperature. It’s perfect for those tight on space but unwilling to compromise on performance.

Explore how this fridge handles everyday needs in ourBosch KTR15NWECG review.

21. Nuna Pipa Urbn child car seat

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (30)

The latest car seats are designed to protect, cradle and cocoon your little ones, ensuring their safety while making parents’ lives easier. As regulations require rear-facing seats for the first 15 months (though we recommend longer), the industry has become more focused on safety – while also keeping comfort and convenience in mind.

The Pipa Urbn is a prime example of this evolution. Lightweight and ultra-portable, this car seat is a dream for busy parents. Weighing just 3.5kg, it’s easy to carry while offering a snug, well-padded seat that supports your baby’s growth. Installation is simplicity itself – skipping the bulky Isofix base, it clicks directly into the Isofix points with built-in connectors, or can be installed with a seatbelt, making it highly versatile for different car setups.

The most important parts of our car seat tests are the safety assessments. With its four-star safety rating and impressive results in front and side-on collisions, this Nuna proves that compact can also be secure and practical.

Read our assessment of this car seat in theNuna Pipa Urbn review.

20. Mazda MX-30 R-EV (PHEV) hybrid car

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (31)

Unlike most plug-in hybrids, the Mazda MX-30 R-EV is always powered by its 170hp electric motor, which is kept topped up by a small petrol-powered engine while driving and allows for an overall range of 348 miles. Although more expensive models offer greater electric-only range, its 40 miles of EV driving is enough for most daily commutes. It’s quick to charge, has solid acceleration and is capable of a smooth, comfortable ride.

However, it’s not the most economical option when relying on the petrol engine to charge the battery, and space in the rear is somewhat limited. Still, it’s a well-equipped, innovative car for those looking for a flexible hybrid.

Learn how this hybrid car stacks up in ourMazda MX-30 R-EV review.

19. Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (32)

It’s time for Dyson’s seemingly annual inclusion in our top 50, and this year it’s a hair dryer. Dyson made its name building vacuums to suck air in, but the Supersonic proves it’s great at making products that will do the opposite. Our user panel was impressed with the clever tech, especially the scalp protect mode, which automatically adjusts the temperature to prevent heat damage. It’s the kind of thoughtful feature that sets Dyson apart – innovation that actually improves the experience rather than being a flashy add-on. Lightweight, powerful, and quieter than most, it also has a long cable and a variety of useful attachments.

Testers praised its smooth, frizz-free results across different hair types, although some felt the extras, like the pause-detect mode and light-up temperature indicators, weren’t essential. Still, for those willing to splurge £400, it delivers salon-quality results at home.

Learn what this hair dryer offers in ourDyson Supersonic Nural review.

18. Framework Laptop 16 (2024)

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (33)

The Framework Laptop is like the most hi-tech Lego set you’ve ever seen. Designed with modularity in mind, it invites you to tinker, customise, and upgrade in ways that traditional laptops would never dare to offer. Need more storage? Swap in a new drive. Want a different graphics chip down the line? Pop it in. It’s a laptop built for the future, where you’re not stuck with the specs you buy on day one.

This high level of customisation isn’t just for the tech-savvy hobbyist, though; it’s for anyone who wants a longer-lasting, more sustainable device. In a world where planned obsolescence is all too rampant, the Framework Laptop 16 gives you greater control over your tech’s lifespan. Rather than tossing out your machine when a single part goes, you can replace only what you need. It’s a refreshing, eco-friendly take on computing that still manages to feel cutting-edge.

Its performance is great, too. We tested it with the least powerful processor option and still found that it was lightning-quick at everything from checking emails to editing photos. It’s well built, the keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the touchpad is accurate. The screen is also excellent – with vibrant colours and crisp graphics.

See more of this modular laptop's specs in ourFramework Laptop 16 review, or buy it direct from Framework from £1,399.

17. LG F4Y509WWLA1 Washing machine

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (34)

An auto-dosing function, ‘AI Wash’, which automatically selects an optimal wash program, plus smart connectivity – this washing machine has plenty of advanced features, but most importantly; it cleans, rinses and spins very effectively and it’s straightforward to use.

16. AEG APU72571UG Air purifier

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (35)

Our air purifiers test is highly scientific and filled with acronyms – from measuring the CADR (clean air delivery rate) to the VOC (volatile organic compound) removal. This AEG scored top marks for removing small, medium and large particles from the air, and it does so quietly.

Learn how effective this air purifier is in ourAEG APU72571UG review.

15. Brother HL-L2445DW Printer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (36)

Many of us have probably been in a love-hate relationship with a printer. One minute it’s delivering important documents and photos into your hands and the next it has a paper jam, or won’t connect to your wi-fi, or is beeping because it doesn’t have enough magenta ink to print your black and white email. This Brother laser printer keeps it simple and benefits as a result: printing sharp, clean monochrome text documents quickly and efficiently. There’s no colour, no scan or copy, but you get reliable, high-quality printing every time. With speedy performance and low running costs, it’s a true workhorse.

Get the details on this printer’s performance in ourBrother HL-L2445DW review.

14. Fitbit Charge 6

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (37)

Fitness trackers have gone from simple step counters to full-on health sidekicks, doing much more than just tallying your daily steps. They’re like a personal trainer on your wrist, noting down everything from heart rate to sleep patterns, keeping you well informed about your wellbeing. The Fitbit Charge 6 takes this idea to the next level – sleek, powerful, and designed for more than just tracking your jog. With the built-in GPS you can ditch your phone on runs, and its advanced heart rate algorithm provides accurate health data. It even syncs with some gym equipment over Bluetooth, making it a breeze to log your workouts.

For swimmers, its 5atm water-resistance rating means it’s pool-friendly, too. It can also monitor sleep quality and SpO2 levels while you snooze, providing estimated insights into your recovery. 13. Daewoo SDA2618GE microwave

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (38)

This Daewoo microwave impressed us for its versatility. It has 11 power levels, 25 programs for auto-cooking, reheating and defrosting, and best of all it’s a rare microwave that also doubles as an air fryer. It heats food quickly and evenly, defrosts thoroughly, and is quiet enough in use that you won’t be disturbing anyone when you heat up a midnight snack – as long as you get to it before the timer runs completely down.

Explore how this microwave handles cooking and reheating in ourDaewoo SDA2618GE review.

12. Fairy Max Power Original washing up liquid

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (39)

We love when we’re able to highlight brands that beat the big names, but when it comes to washing-up liquid, the most well-known still reigns supreme. It seems like Fairy has earned its reputation for good reason – effectively washing dishes.

11. Bosch TWK1M123GB MyMoment Delight Kettle

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (40)

Simple, basic functionality should always be lauded, so it’s good to know you can buy a kettle without breaking the bank. The fact that the two most expensive kettles currently on Which.co.uk are both Don’t Buys – slow to boil and awkward to use – shows the folly in over-engineering a solution to a basic problem. This one, however, is affordable and effective, albeit with a momentary roar as it (quickly) boils the water. The limescale filter works well too.

Read about this kettle’s design and functionality in ourBosch TWK1M123GB MyMoment Delight review.

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (43)

This is a product for people with lots of money to spend, lots of miles to cycle, and who don’t want to lug around a full-size bike when they reach their destination. Folding electric bikes, such as the Brompton C Line Explore, are designed for those who want the best of both worlds: portability and power. 7. Apple iPad Pro 11-inch 7th gen (2024)

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (44)

The iPad pretty quickly became a household mainstay, didn’t it? As with the Watch down at number 34, Apple has a real knack for introducing products that feel like superfluous luxuries at first, but become everyday items over time. There’s plenty of luxury and plenty of productivity power here. Despite being Apple’s thinnest-ever iPad, it manages to house very powerful internals without compromising on strength or sturdiness. The OLED display has breathtaking brightness and colour depth, making everything from movies to design work a visual delight.

But it’s not just about looks – Apple’s M4 chip ensures super-fast performance, effortlessly handling resource-heavy tasks like 3D modelling, video editing, and gaming. For creatives and professionals, this tablet is a powerhouse that can rival many laptops in terms of speed and capability. That said, with its price nearing £1,000, it’s not for everyone. If you’re mostly browsing the web or streaming, the iPad Air or standard iPads offer plenty of performance for less. But for those who want the ultimate tablet experience, the Pro is unmatched in both form and function.

See what this tablet offers in ouriPad Pro 11-inch review.

6. Bitdefender Antivirus Free for Windows

5. Samsung QE55Q60D TV

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (46)

The second TV in our top 50 is a QLED (quantum dot LED) model – which competes with OLED and offers stunningly vibrant colour and sharp details. And this Samsung’s speakers are capable of pleasant and clear sound, with speech that’s easy to make out. But the clincher? The price. It’s impressive to see a TV this good at under £500, let alone one with an original launch price of close to that threshold. If TVs at this price knocking on the door of a Best Buy recommendation at launch are the shape of things to come, we’re all for it. This 55-inch model is a steal for anyone looking to go big on screen size without going big on budget.

Explore the picture quality and features of this TV in ourSamsung QE55Q60D review.

3. Instant Vortex ClearCook 140-4101-01-UK Air fryer

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (48)

We started testing air fryers in 2016, but it wasn’t until 2020 that most people started becoming interested in them. Their popularity hasn’t waned since – building steadily from those dreary Covid days with nothing to do but cook frozen chips, and reaching new peaks as a cheaper way to cook through the cost of living crisis.

The Vortex ClearCook is aptly named: its convection fan is powerful, and the large viewing window is great for keeping an eye on your culinary creations. Sure, it’s heavy and takes up a big chunk of counter space, but if you’re serious about air frying, it’s worth the real estate. It whipped us up some chicken drumsticks with delectably crispy skin, chips that were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and perfectly browned baguettes. Its versatility really stands out, whether you’re using the rotisserie for perfectly roasted chicken or baking and toasting for a quick snack. The air fryer may have started as a trend, but it’s now a kitchen must-have.

See how this compares to other air fryers in our Instant Vortex ClearCook 140-4101-01-UK review.

2. Volkswagen ID.7 (2023-) Electric Car

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (49)

As the third car to make our top 50, this electric hatchback is powered by a capable 286hp motor, with stunning adaptive suspension as an option, and more space than you’ll know what to do with.

VW’s largest EV (except the van-like ID.Buzz) is a showcase of how far electric vehicles have come – proving they can be stylish, versatile and luxurious, without sacrificing performance. But the ID.7 isn’t just about turning heads on the road. It accelerates quickly and evenly, and its smooth ride, generous range and tech-laden interior didn’t disappoint in our lab tests.

Perfect for long drives (up to 302 miles), family outings, or just zipping around town with an eco-friendly footprint, the ID.7 brings practicality and luxury together in one sleek package. And while the electric revolution might still be gaining momentum, this VW shows us that EVs can be just as enticing as their fossil fuel-powered counterparts.

1. Samsung Galaxy A15 5G mobile phone

The Which? top 50 products of the year 2024 - Which? News (50)

In the five years we’ve been rounding up a top 50, the number-one spot has been taken up by an eclectic mix. We’ve seen an electric car, headphones, a soup maker, batteries and washing powder take home the top prize – but they’ve all had one thing in common: they’ve all been Best Buys. This phone is not.

But it is Great Value, and it represents the essence of Great Value in ways few other products have before. At £199 it’s less than half the price of the average smartphone on Which.co.uk – and that’s without the frequent sales that have seen it as low as £120. It’s also a statement about sustainability and longevity. It’s the cheapest phone to offer five years of security support – that’s a solid smartphone for (possibly significantly) less than £40 a year.

So in a market that has long been shaped around a two-year upgrade cycle, driven by successors ‘flaunting’ iterative improvements, the A15 encompasses a change that many consumers welcome.

In a recent Which? survey, 56% of people would like to keep a phone for five years or more if they could. Their primary consideration when buying a new phone was price – specifically under £350. Battery life was a close second, and the A15 nails this as well, with a solid 42 hours in our typical-use tests. So as well as not being left behind by the brand when it comes to support, you also won’t be left stranded when you forget to charge it overnight.

The A15 isn’t as flashy as flagship models. It doesn’t laud the benefits of AI or promise the sharpest selfies, but it does deliver on the most important things most people need from a smartphone. It’s a shift towards sustainable, long-lasting tech that, as a package, outshines many of the premium options in today’s market.

Find out how this phone performed in our tests in the full Samsung Galaxy A15 5G review.
