- Tech Q&A: Jared Dunn, a University of Illinois technology community educator, will be at the center from 10 to 11 a.m. every first Wednesday of the month. Bring your phone, tablet or laptop. Dunn will answer questions and show you how to get your tasks done.
- Active Aging Week: A dual class has been set for Oct. 2. At 1 p.m., “Head Strong” with family-life educator Emily Harmon; learn how to keep your brain healthy and engaged. - Stressbusting: Being a caregiver is a stressful job, especially if you are caring for a loved one experiencing memory loss. CRIS wants to help! HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
The Peace Meal Nutrition Program provides daily hot lunches at 11:30 a.m. for a small donation and a one-day advance reservation at sites in Champaign, Urbana, Rantoul, Sidney (home delivery only), Mahomet (home delivery only) and Homer.
For reservations, call 800-543-1770. Reservations for Monday must be made by noon Friday. NOTE: There is no change for home deliveries, but at congregate sites, you can get a carry-out meal.
